Note: these are based on MY personal experiences.
1. Do Not Skip Breakfast
Skipping breakfast means skipping productivity. You will be less focus and lunch is all you're gonna think about. it'll be even worse if you have to ride to work (or using public transport), that shit consume a lot of energy and your soul especially if you live in crowded city like Jakarta.

empty stomach = empty brain |
2. You Have To Pretend To Like Everybody
The most important resource is people (and their connections), and everyone is basically just using everyone else to get what they want (a bit cynical yes, but it's the truth). so you have to show interest in everybody because you'll need them eventually. or atleast, pretend that you like them. buuut if you have a really high tolerance it wouldn't be a problem for you.

3. You'll Be Alone A Lot More
All your college friends are now working too, and you're all gonna be "busy". all you have most of the day are your coworkers. if in college you did most of the things with your friends, now you got to do a lot of things on your own.

4. Note Every Income And Outcome
when you have a job, you'll have your own income. and you'll have to be self-sustained so you won't be your parents' burden any longer. the good news is, since you earn your own money you can use it for whatever you want. the bad news is, that's the only source for your income and if you're not careful you'll be broke and starving and even homeless by the end of the month. so, it is very important to manage your finance, choose your priority and don't forget sadoqah.

5. Say Goodbye To Idealism
Idealism usually infected you when you're still a college student. you always wanted to do everything right and in a good way and thought the world as an ideal place. but when you're working, it's not that simple. people don't care anymore about idealism, the only thing people care is PROFIT. so no matter how hard you try to defend your idealism, reality will always smash you in the face to remind you that if you are too naive you'll not survive in this world.

REALITY KICK!! |
6. Hobbies Are Very Important
when you are working, you have fixed schedules and you are most likely get stuck in routine. the most effective way to clear your mind and getting out of those monotonous activities is with hobby. it doesn't matter whether you can do it everyday or only on weekends. personally, my biggest hobbies are Parkour/Freerunning and movies. one makes me healthy and the other one makes me creative and imaginative. so, don't underestimate the power of hobby, it'll keep you sane trust me.
